Laminate flooring installation
Click laminate and vinyl plank over a level subfloor, with the expansion gap left properly at every wall and the underlay chosen for whether the room sits over a basement, a crawlspace or a slab. Rooms get scribed to out-of-square walls, which almost every Kitchener house built before 1990 has somewhere.
Carpet installation
Bedroom, basement and stair carpet over new underpad, stretched properly with a power stretcher rather than kicked in at the edges. A carpet that was only kicked in will ripple within two winters as the backing relaxes, and re-stretching later costs more than doing it right the first time.

Squeaks are movement between the subfloor and the joist, so they get fixed from below where there is basement access, and from above with a screw-and-plug into the joist where there is not. We also replace individual damaged boards and refasten sections that have started to lift.
