Gallery walls laid out and levelled as a group rather than one nail at a time, and heavy mirrors hung on rated hardware into structure. Anything over about fifteen kilos over a bed, a sofa or a stairwell gets fixed into framing, no exceptions.

Cameras sited for useful coverage of doors, driveways and side gates, mounted at a height where they see faces rather than the tops of heads. Cabling routed neatly, and wireless units positioned where they will actually hold a signal from the house rather than dropping out at the far corner of the lot.

Wired doorbells swapped onto the existing transformer and chime where the voltage supports it, or battery units mounted with a wedge so the camera looks at your porch instead of the neighbour driveway. Brick and stone entries get drilled and plugged properly rather than taped up.
